Week Four- “Whiskey O'Clock”

I hear the raindrops on the window outside
I feel the dull ache of the pain inside
I see the obstacles in my way
Take a deep breath, hope that I’ll be OK

So I’m drinking whiskey at one o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at one o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at one o’clock
It’s the only thing that makes the pain go away
By Four I won’t even know my name

I see the shadows looming over head
threatening to take over the sun
I hear the thunder sounds from far away
I run but they keep getting closer

I’m drinking whiskey at two o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at two o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at two o’clock
It’s the only thing that makes the pain go away
And by Four I won’t even know my name

Whiskey don’t be mean to me
Whiskey please don’t be mean to me

I see the rainbows in the rhythm of love
I hear the birds sing of freedom from above
I feel the blood pump through my veins
Take a big sip, know that I’ll be Ok

I’m drinking whiskey at three o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at three o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at three o’clock
It’s the only thing that makes the pain go away
And by Four I won’t even know my name

I’m drinking whiskey at one o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at two o’clock
I’m drinking whiskey at three o’clock
It’s the only thing that makes the pain go away
And by Four I won’t even know my name
